Greetings from Wen (Women’s Environmental Network)!
Green Baby Day 2025 is coming up on the 11th of June 2025 - calling for a sustainable and toxic free future for babies and children, and their parents and carers.
Green Baby Day aims to provide information to help families make healthy, eco-friendly and affordable choices to minimise exposure to harmful chemicals. But more importantly, it focuses the attention on our government’s responsibility to ensure effective chemicals regulation to protect current and future generations, especially post Brexit.
This year, we are spotlighting toxic chemicals in children’s toys: an urgent issue of health, equity, and environmental justice. As the EU advances stronger protections, the UK risks falling behind. Without clear regulation and industry accountability, harmful substances can still be found in toys sold on UK shelves.
As a friend/supporter of Wen , we really hope you will help us get the word out about this day of action, amongst your networks, via social media and/or newsletters.
